Boathouse Grill

Prior to the pandemic, the Newport Restaurant Group assembled a design team to look into a redesign of the Boathouse Grill in Tiverton, Rhode Island. As part of the design team, Charles looked at enhancing the exterior space's functionality, while adding a touch of coastal New England charm.

The introduction of a roundabout, provided a focal point of perennial color, while improving vehicular circulation and pedestrian safety. The valet or entrance drop-offs had adequate space to pull off to the side while allowing exiting traffic to pass by.

The new restaurant theme included a farm-to-table experience. A greenhouse and outdoor garden beds supplied the kitchen. While the wedding pavilion was a short walk from the restaurant. The result is a multi-function facility with breathtaking views of the Sakonnet River.
