Coggeshall Club Playground

The proposed renovations of the Coggeshall Club, a local daycare and learning facility, prioritize child safety and engagement. The parking lot redesign includes raised crosswalks and curvilinear fences for the safety of pedestrians when arriving and departing the facility. Canopy trees and a vibrant selection of drought-tolerant coastal plants provide shade, cooling pavement surfaces and enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The daycare entrance is redesigned to separate the playground access from the receiving area. The playground includes a variety of play equipment to stimulate learning and motor skills, with a strong focus on using natural materials. The incorporation of translucent colored round windows in the fence added a playful touch for children. More canopy trees provide natural shade during hot summer days. Small boulders snake their way through the area for playful parkour. Animal tracks imprinted in the concrete tricycle path add a magic touch to the space. For the teachers and parents who work at the facility, we've designed a separate outdoor space for lunch and work area away from the children.
